The president of
the National Assembly (AN), Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, this Thursday urged the
representatives of the opposition in the Dialogue Table with the
Bolivarian Government, to respect the agreements signed during the negotiations, because radical sectors have violated the commitments made in the process.
“We are going to
insist that we believe in negotiations where what is
agreed is respected, for example, we signed an agreement in Barbados also on defense
and sovereignty, defense of Venezuela's rights over Guiana Essequiba
and this lady (María Corina Machado) came out saying no, that we had to give
that to Exxon Mobil,” he criticized during a press conference from the Federal Legislative Palace.
In this regard,
he said that “if you are going to sign something, respect it, and if you are not going to respect it,
tell us so as not to waste time,” he said, addressing the leaders of the Venezuelan
right who are part of the dialogue and have requested the increase of sanctions against the country.
