Venezuelan goalkeeper Cristopher Varela was announced as the new player for the Colombian team La Equidad.

“Welcome Cristopher Varela to La Equidad. The 25-year-old goalkeeper joins our team's squad for 2025,” wrote the Bogotá team through the social network X.

Varela comes from playing with Deportivo La Guaira in the Venezuelan Football League (FUTVE League) last season.

This will be the second experience for the Venezuelan soccer player in the coffee country, after playing for Atlético Bucaraman ga.
