Representatives of the Gas Exporting Nations arrived at Simón Bolívar International Airport, in La Guaira, to attend the swearing in of President Nicolás Maduro tomorrow (January 10).

In this regard, the Secretary General of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries, Mohamed Hamel, asserted that his presence is to ratify the multilateral relations of these countries with Venezuela.

“Our presence is an example of our solidarity, support and respect of all gas-exporting countries with Venezuela,” he said.

He also expressed his sincerest and best wishes for Venezuela, its leadership and its people. “We wish him peace and prosperity,” he added.

“As a representative of gas-exporting countries, our presence here is clear, it is to recognize the constitutional president Nicolás Maduro, as a legitimate president of this esteemed country,” he said.

The Secretary General also stated that it is a great honor for him to be back in Venezuela and for the swearing in.
