Remigio Ceballos: So far this year, more than 18 tons of drugs have been seized

So far in 2024, the State Security Agency and the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) have seized, in various procedures, more than 18 tons of drugs.

This was reported by the Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, A/J Remigio Ceballos, who explained that as a party against drug trafficking in the state of Sucre, four raids were carried out in search of criminal organizations linked to this scourge.

“Four raids were carried out, which resulted in the recovery of three rock-type and deep-sea fishing boats, in which seven citizens were seized, of whom six are male and one female,” he explained.

In the same way, according to a press release from the interior ministry, Ceballos Ichaso announced the arrest of 15 individuals in various states of the country, after intelligence work carried out over the past few days

“We have succeeded in the seizure of 10 firearms, two grenades, cell phones and the arrest of eight individuals who are at the disposal of the courts,” he said.

In the same way, he reported that in Falcón state, explosive material, nine firearms, 16 cellular equipment, drugs, ammunition, radios, vehicles and motorcycles were confiscated, in addition to frustrations of kidnappings by these individuals in the entity.
