Registrations are extended for the first Venezuelan Astronomy Olympiad until March 6.

The National Scientific Seedbeds Program reported that the registration period to participate in the first Venezuelan Astronomy Olympiad (OVA) is extended until March 6.

The activity is part of the initial apex of the Great Science, Technology and Innovation Mission “Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán”, which promotes the development and retention of national scientific talent.

The purpose of the event is to promote interest in astronomy, astrophysics and space science among students aged 12 to 18 who are studying secondary and secondary technical education in all institutions in the country, according to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology.
