Regional government reinforces maintenance of rivers in Yaracuy in the face of rains

In view of the arrival of rains in the region, in the municipality of Bruzual, Yaracuy state, a special maintenance plan is being implemented for rivers and streams, in order to clear the channels of natural tributaries.
The work carried out includes inspection of the municipality's pipes, streams and rivers to prioritize clearing, channeling, weeding and hydraulic protection work.
In tributaries with a high risk of flooding, such as the Poapoa basins in the upper part of the Campo Elías parish; Quebrada Grande in Alto Rio; Cocuaima and the Urachiche river in the Sorte mountain sector, special hydraulic protection and preventive maintenance works are being carried out.
Through a regional press release, it was reported that the beginning of the rains increases the risk of flooding, so they must execute a special maintenance plan, coordinated jointly by the mayor's office, the government and other bodies.
