A total of 16 kilometers of road will be paved between the municipalities of Lobatera and Ayacucho, in the northern part of the state of Táchira. These are recovery and maintenance works on the San Cristóbal-La Fría highway, section II between Lobatera and San Juan de Colón, capital of the Ayacucho municipality, with more than 16 kilometers of service.

The information was released by Ángel Márquez, head of the Tachirense Road Institute (IVT), who explained that they are working together as a single Government. “Progress is being made in the improvement of this important road artery in the northern part of the state, guaranteeing well-being and a better quality of life for the people of Tachirense,” he said.

The works include weeding on the sides and cleaning of ditches, removing landslides, while in the second phase, asphalting, demarcation and road marking work will be carried out, Márquez said.
