Coach Jesús Ortíz will not continue as Technical Director of Portuguesa FC for the 2024 Clausura Tournament of the Venezuelan Football League.
Ortíz was in charge of the red and black team since mid-November 2023, he had renewed his contract as coach for two more years, however the board of directors of Portuguesa made the decision to dispense with his services.
Last year he managed to qualify for the Copa Libertadores after 40 years and in the 2024 Apertura Tournament they were fighting to qualify for the final until the last few days.
