The rector of the National Electoral Council (CNE), Conrado Pérez Briceño, reported this Thursday, April 03, that the hack against the Electoral System “has practically been solved and political organizations will receive a link to nominate candidates for governorates, Legislative Councils and National Assembly.”
During an interview with Globovision, Pérez explained that parties “with the right to participate in the process, receive a link in which they apply (...) at the beginning of this week, the parties have nominated their fellow militants.”
In this regard, he stressed that 10 days before the elections, modifications can be made to the list because “these are not mentioned on the card” and it is a ready vote, so there are the actors who have run for office in the National Assembly and Legislative Council.”
In addition, he indicated that “there is still no precision as to whether the photo of each nominated governor will appear.”
The rector recalled that according to the electoral schedule, from April 07 to 11, the CNE will receive applications from candidates for governorates, through the Automated Nomination System (SAP).
Political parties will have the opportunity to create and modify their nominations during 07 and 08. On April 9, they must submit their final candidacies, and from 10 to 11, the National Electoral Board will be responsible for reviewing all the documentation to accept or reject the applications.
