Reading rediscovers us! 19th FILVEN was inaugurated in Cojedes

The regional edition of the 19th Venezuelan International Book Fair (FILVEN) was inaugurated, in Cojedes, under the slogan “Reading brings us back”.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, Manuel Manrique Square and the Sala Cinemateca in the capital of Cojedeña will host, until this Saturday 16th, this meeting with letters, organized by the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture (MPPC), through the National Book Center (CENAL) and the State Cabinet of Culture.

With the presentation of the dance group of the 24 de Julio Cultural Ensamble School to the rhythm of cumbia, regarding Colombia being the guest country of honor of the 19th FILVEN, and words from the director of the State Office of Culture, Karina Rojas, in the company of the honored writers, Héctor González and Ulrike Sánchez; the national guest, Ana María Oviedo Palomares; and the author from Cojedeño, José Daniel Suárez Hermoso, this literary festival was inaugurated.

On behalf of the MPPC, Rojas invited all Cojedeños and those who travel through Cojedes to approach and enjoy the cultural environment in the midst of books and artistic proposals. “There is a wide range of exhibitors in the area of literature that all lovers of reading can delight themselves with,” said the director of the State Cabinet of Culture of Cojedes.

As part of the initial activities, the honored writer, Ulrike Sánchez, gave a lecture on the literary creation process from various fields in which she works: as a poet, actress and journalist.
