On October 10, 2016, the Radio Miraflores signal The Voice of Truth aired for the first time, with transmission from its studios located in the Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, through its 95.9 FM matrix frequency, as a project presented to the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, by the then Minister for Communication and Information, Luis José Marcano, who appointed journalist José Manuel as the station's first director Blanco Diaz.

The Head of State hosted one of the first spaces that aired on Radio Miraflores: La Hora de la Salsa, dedicated to this musical genre and with different special guests, which is still on the radio grid from Monday to Friday, at 12 noon, to offer users the best songs in this musical genre.

Referring to Radio Miraflores, the president pointed out that this medium would become “one of the trenches for the communication battle of the Bolivarian Revolution, the exchange of ideas and interaction with the people” and the center of a new communication model.

The Head of State emphasized that this medium would serve for ministers to present the progress of the achievements of State management and that this new project would allow us to “energize us in communicating with the people, to bring the truth to the people” and to combat the communication war being waged by media corporations.

Other frequencies have been incorporated in the states: Carabobo, Portuguesa, Bolívar, Lara, Anzoátegui, Trujillo, Mérida, Zulia, Nueva Esparta, Miranda, Delta Amacuro, Apure and Táchira, as part of the Radio Miraflores signal expansion project, which has been complemented by live streaming via the internet through the portal www.radiomiraflores.net.ve, as well as through the YouTube channel and the Play Store application.

Added to this are the accounts that this means of social communication has on all social networks, which makes it a multiplatform, as was the vision of the Head of State at the time of the creation of this radio channel. “From radio to networks and from networks to walls”, was his instruction.

Radio Miraflore's programming includes opinion, information, sports, cultural and recreational spaces, as well as the presence of different ministerial spokespersons, as ordered by the Head of State during the creation of this social communication medium.
