Radio del Sur: 15 years at the forefront of the communication battle

On February 25, 2010, Commander Hugo Chávez inaugurated Radio del Sur at the Municipal Theater of Caracas, with the objective of integrating communication to countries in Latin America, Africa, Asia and even the United States, Canada and Europe.

“Radio penetrates much more than television, it has less technological complexity, fewer scientific-technical requirements, less financial requirements, it is easier because it has a very big impact,” said Commander Chávez.

At the launch of Radio del Sur, Commander Chávez interviewed those who at the time were his counterparts from Argentina, Cristina Fernández; Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega and Bolivia, Evo Morales; who celebrated this initiative, which is part of the communication platform at the service of peoples.

15 years after its creation, this communication trench continues to lead the way with ethics, values and principles, informing the Great Homeland.
