This Wednesday, the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, condemned the terrorist attack carried out in Iran that cost the lives of at least 103 people near the grave of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard General, Qasem Soleimani.
“The murder of peaceful people who visited a cemetery shudders because of their cruelty and cynicism,” he said in a message sent to his Persian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi, and to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, while reiterating that “we firmly condemn terrorism in all its forms.”
For his part, the Iranian president asserted that the perpetrators of this terrorist act will be captured and punished according to justice.
“This cowardly act will soon be identified and punished for their odious act by capable security and law enforcement forces,” Raisi said in a statement, adding that “the enemies of the nation must know that such actions can never disturb the solid determination of the Iranian nation,” he emphasized.
As published by the web portal El Debate, the Government of the Persian nation declared a day of national mourning out of consideration for the victims of this criminal attack.
