The comprehensive restoration of the lighthouse, carried out under the coordination of OCHINA in conjunction with SHN, involved a rigorous technical process that respected the original 19th century masonry.

In addition, the works included the installation of scaffolding with non-invasive chemical anchors, the controlled removal of degraded elements, the restoration of the internal wooden staircase by master cabinetmakers, the dismantling and recovery of the self-supporting steel tower using cold welding and anti-corrosion systems, as well as the application of natural hydraulic lime mortars and elastomeric paints in the regulatory colors red and white, in accordance with the international regulations of International Organization for Navigational Aids and Lighthouse Authority (IALA).

With this reinauguration, Venezuela ratifies its commitment to Blue Venezuela and renews a relationship and a security commitment that the country has maintained with the world for more than a century and a half.
