Puerto Rico suffers another massive blackout at the beginning of the year

This Wednesday, January 1st, a second massive blackout took place on the island of Puerto Rico. The emergency occurred after the electrical service was gradually restored after a breakdown.
International media reported that “multiple residents of the island were again left without electricity service on the afternoon (first day) of New Year's. It was shortly after 2 in the afternoon of this Wednesday that the blackout occurred that left several municipalities in the dark.”
According to the information, the power supply problem
occurred after electricity began to return to homes after the
breakdown of December 31.
Previously, more than a million people were left without electricity in Puerto Rico due to a
failure in one of the country's power plants.
