In Puerto Rico, after extensive research and after countering data, the Center for Investigative Journalism (CPI) found nearly 900,000 deaths in the General Registry of Voters (RGE), thousands of whom appear to be voting in the 2020 and 2016 elections.
The CPI verified the votes of the digital platform Elector's Consultation of the State Council of Elections (CEE) and deceased voters are still active in the RGE.
The analysis of RGE data was carried out through interviews with about twenty CEE sources from all political parties.
Puerto Rico's Wapa portal explained that in the review of hundreds of documents, it detected that at least 5,872 voters who died between 2015 and September 30, 2020 appear as active in the RGE, that is, they voted in 2020 or 2016.
In information revealed 2,865 active voters who would be over 100 years old and some have birthdates of 1,800 years.
The CPI reviewed a sample of 450 records of these voters on the CEE Voter Consultation platform and, as of last Friday, found that only eight of them or less than 2% had been excluded by death.
