At the headquarters of the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT), a coordination meeting was held for road statistics and reports, led by the Sectorial Vice President for Public Safety and Peace, AJ. Remigio Ceballos Ichaso, who highlighted the work carried out by citizen security bodies to protect the mobility of the people.

In this regard, Ceballos stressed that based on the exact quantification of road incidents, taking as a reference the World Health Organization (WHO), road prevention policies are developed to maintain the reduction of accidents.

He also said that all security bodies must work together in accordance with Comprehensive Prevention for Life and Peace, the apex of the Great Quadrants of Peace Mission. “We must go beyond awareness, we must generate strategies that minimize driver recklessness, as it is one of the main causes of road accidents.”

Finally, he praised the work done by the INTT in drafting the Land Transportation Law Reform Project, which incorporates technology as the main aspect of action for the sanctions regime for violations. “We already have the bill, now we are going through the regulations to adapt it to the new times,” said Ceballos Ichaso.

This meeting strengthens prevention policies and civic-military and police union, to guarantee the people the full enjoyment of their rights, as established in article 55 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
