At a
press conference of the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela
(PSUV), the first vice-president of the red awning, Diosdado Cabello Rondón,
called this Tuesday for a Grand Caravan in the country's capitals on December 1.
“This is going to be
an extraordinary thing that we are going to do in capitals all over Venezuela (...)
A Great Caravan with troupes, with parties, sound, trucks,
cultural expressions from different states,” said Cabello.
He pointed out that the
event will also include sports activities, recreational activities,
musical groups; “to do something like a troupe, to come from the wall of Petare to
the statue of José Martí here all along Francisco de Miranda Avenue. That's going to
be a beauty. Let's imagine the trucks, the motorized vehicles, the stilts, the upstairs musical
groups, the trucks, the music, the joy,” he said.
He added that the
Great Caravan will have stations along the avenue, “where
people can stand and witness the passing of all cultural expressions.
Culture takes over Caracas, because the Ministry of Culture accompanies us in this
task to give it strength, the governorates, the mayors”
Cabello highlighted
that the other route will be from Catia to the Miraflores Palace, with “sound trucks
, the communities, the communal circuits, the communes, the
communal councils coming down, the motorized people going around. Caracas filled
with joy, zero bitterness, bitter people will have to see these
expressions from afar, if you want to add up, they are welcome to let them
know how to live with joy,” he stressed.
