Prosecutor's Office will deliver a letter to the UN to demand emergency treatment in case of kidnapped migrants

The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saa b, reported that a letter has been drawn up to be delivered to the United Nations High Commissioner (UN), Volker Türk, in order to demand that the case of Venezuelan migrants kidnapped in El Salvador be dealt with urgently.
He specified that he will deliver a letter this Wednesday, April 02. “Let there be pressure by legal means, both from the UN and from the countries that are currently kidnapping our fellow citizens, which is El Salvador in this case, violating the Rome Statute, so that they have immediate freedom,” he said.
“It's not that we're going to see that a trial, no, it's that they have to be released immediately,” he emphasized.
On the program Maduro Live De Repente, hosted by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, the prosecutor stated that “I spoke, today, with the UN representative in Venezuela. There are already actions with the families of the victims. Information has been taken from each of the cases.”
He stressed that the State of Venezuela has not abandoned them. “There are already actions based on this representation with the victims, the victims' families are already each their own files taken by the UN, it has already been done with the Public Ministry,” he ratified.
