Medical teams and community organizations developed breast cancer prevention activities in La Guaira, Anzoátegui and Yaracuy, with guidance consultations, educational talks and health training to promote early detection of the disease.

In La Guaira, the days covered the areas of comprehensive community health 506, 507, 510 and 514. In the Vargas municipality, comprehensive diagnostic centers held talks and sessions on self-examination, while the March 10 High Technology Center brought together more than 140 people in two special activities, the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN) reported, citing reports from the Ministry of Health (MinSalud).

In Anzoátegui, health personnel toured homes in the Parcelas II sector, in the Simón Bolívar municipality, to identify risk factors and guide families. He also gave talks on warning signs and clinical workshops for doctors and nurses at the José Martí High Technology Center.

The activities in Yaracuy were concentrated in the Peña municipality, where brigades from the public health system visited homes in the Totumillo sector. The initiative included preventive and clarifying guidance on erroneous beliefs related to the disease.

The days are part of the Pink Month, a campaign that every October promotes information, prevention and timely diagnosis of breast cancer through actions aimed at patients, communities and health workers.

Early detection makes it possible to identify breast disorders at an early stage and facilitates timely access to medical evaluations. Health authorities also promote professional consultation in the event of suspicious changes and the carrying out of checks according to medical recommendations.
