Presidents of Venezuela and Türkiye strengthen ties of cooperation at BRICS Summit

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, held a bilateral meeting this Wednesday in Kazan, Russia, with his counterpart from Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to strengthen ties of cooperation and friendship.

Both leaders participate in the XVI Summit of BRICS Heads of State, and during the meeting they addressed issues of common interest in the areas of trade and energy, in the midst of a multipolar world.

Both Türkiye and Venezuela have expressed their desire to be part of the expansion of the BRICS, because it was one of the main topics of this international event.

On his Telegram channel, the Venezuelan Dignitary explained that they prioritized “issues towards the future and the economic damage caused by the imperial blockade, and what has been our continuous recovery process for the last 3 years. We will continue to promote the well-being of our nations!”

Caracas and Ankara have maintained diplomatic relations since 1950, strengthened thanks to Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy, with various agreements in the energy field, as well as tourism, agriculture, fishing, health, education and industry.
