The presidential commission to evaluate the habitability of housing inspected the OPP 58 housing complex, in front of La Concordia Square, in the parish of Santa Teresa de Caracas.

Civil Protection and Government Crews from the Capital District, together with civil engineers, engineers from the National Guard and the special parliamentary commission, review structural damage.

For his part, civil engineer Luis Suárez reported that a group of technicians evaluates the affected homes in order to protect the families that live in the apartments.

He also announced that the presidential commission, led by the president (E) of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, formed specialized brigades to provide a first response on the physical condition of the building.

In the same vein, the engineer explained that the presence of cracks is an indication of damage. The function of the specialists is to locate the source, determine the fault pattern and carry out the respective investigation.

In the same way, he noted: “In most cases, we seek to discriminate between the fissure that appears in the walls and the separation of the structural element.”
