The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced that the joint venture Petrozamora, located in the state of Zulia, reached a production milestone with a record of 115,000 barrels per day of oil and expects to close, reaching projections for the month of December at 120,000 barrels per day.

The president led a meeting to monitor and inspect the progress of oil and gas projects developed as part of binational agreements with the United States, highlighting the tangible results generated by the 17 binational agreements signed with the American company NABEP, a presidential press review.

The activity was carried out through a satellite transmission with Macolla B of the joint venture Petrozamora, located on the East Coast of the Lake, Zulia state, with the participation of the chargé d'affaires and ambassador of the United States, John Barrett; a representative of the American company NABEP; the administrative and digital government sector vice-president, Anabel Pereira Fernández; and the president of Petrleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA), Héctor Obregón Pérez.

“We signed a binational oil and gas agreement with the company NABEP that seeks to drain more than 65 billion barrels from Venezuelan reserves. This is a historic agreement because of the impact it will have on the security and energy production of both countries,” Rodríguez recalled.

“Our objective is clear: that the growth of the energy industry generates more employment, better income and well-being for Venezuelan families,” said the head of state.
