This Wednesday, September 30, the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, held a working meeting with the ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Venezuela, Lan Hu, in order to extend her congratulations to the Chinese People and Government in the framework of the commemoration of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The meeting, held at the Miraflores Palace, took place in an atmosphere of cordiality and fraternity, and was also propitious to congratulate the Chinese people for the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, one of the most important traditional festivities in China, the Presidential Press website highlighted.
This celebration symbolizes family reunion, gratitude for the crops and unity. During the holiday, families get together to contemplate the full moon, light colorful lanterns and share traditional moon cakes, candies filled with lotus or red bean paste that represent fullness and harmony.
This Thursday, October 1st, the People's Republic of China celebrates its founding, consolidating itself as a fundamental actor in the global political and economic scene; since the historic declaration in Tiananmen Square in 1949, which took it from being a predominantly agricultural nation to becoming the second largest economy in the world and an undisputed leader in technological innovation and infrastructure development.
