The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, offered important announcements and measures in economic and tax matters, including the elimination of so-called tax machines in businesses.
“From this moment on, he announced the elimination of fiscal machines or electronic devices approved by SENIAT to record sales and issue receipts with fiscal value,” said the Head of State in an informational contact this Wednesday.
The president reported that Venezuela already has a system interconnected with the bank, the SAREN and the Central Bank of Venezuela, for the exchange of information -in addition to a statistical system- that will allow the corresponding collections in the country.
He specified that this measure is part of a set of announcements in economic and tax matters aimed at the modernization and administrative simplification of the Venezuelan tax system, which will make it possible to expand the group of special taxpayers.
“These are all measures that will allow us citizens to have a better service in the tax system, to have a better collection. We have been talking about the very low numbers of those who pay taxes in the country. It's a matter of justice (...) Let's continue together on this path of digitalization and modernization to be more efficient in government management,” he stressed.
Since July 22, 2026, SENIAT ordered the temporary cessation of the sale and distribution of new fiscal machines nationwide, although the equipment already installed and operational was still being used normally.
