During a press conference, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, maintained that all those arrested for being involved in the conspiracy and assassination plans of President Nicolás Maduro gave their testimony and were passed through a polygraph.

“All the testimonies of the detainees were passed through the polygraph and all indicate that they were recruited between the year and 2019 by people from Colombia and the United States, located in Colombian territories,” he said.

In that regard, he told Brian A. Nichols, Undersecretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs, U.S. Department of State, that he can't be so irresponsible as to even evaluate the evidence.

“We have the names of all the agents of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), with whom all the traitors, murderers met, we have confessed them by themselves,” he said.

In that regard, he asked Nichols: If an international agency steals defense secrets from the United States and pays to destroy infrastructure, what is the penalty in the United States?

“Imagine what the United States government would do if things like those that have already been unveiled in Venezuela happened, five attempts, two very powerful, the assassination of the President of the Republic,” he added.
