President of the AN presented original letter where Edmundo González accepts the ruling of the Supreme Court on the results of 28-J

The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, presented, this Wednesday, a letter presented by the former presidential candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, confirming his recognition of the ruling of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) that ratifies the electoral victory of the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro.

During a press conference held this Wednesday, the president of the Legislative Branch stressed that with the signing of this text, González Urrutia openly recognizes the Powers of the Venezuelan State.

In this regard, Rodríguez highlighted that the letter was signed after González Urrutia held telephone and personal conversations with his person and the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez.

He also assured that the former candidate of the extreme right signed the letter without any kind of pressure and, on the contrary, he did it to obtain the safe conduct that would allow him to travel to Spain and request political asylum in that country.
