The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, expressed the indignation and pain of the entire country at the kidnapping of 238 Venezuelans in El Salvador.

“It's not just them who are affected, we are 30 million outraged Venezuelans, and we are not going to rest. We want them back, we'll bring them back safe and sound,” Rodríguez said.

During a regular session this Thursday, Rodríguez stressed that this situation cannot be ignored or minimized.

“We can't say that's not our problem. It's our problem of life and death, the rescue of all our children, siblings kidnapped in El Salvador,” he said, while calling for national unity in the face of this violation of human rights.

“We can't say that's not our problem. It's our problem of life and death, the rescue of all our children, siblings kidnapped in El Salvador,” he emphasized.

Rodríguez also questioned the circumstances that led to this situation, pointing out that “the vast majority of our brothers, to say nothing, had not set foot in the Central American country. Explain to us how is it that they are kidnapped in El Salvador?”

The president highlighted the honesty of the kidnapped migrants by stating that “they are honest, innocent men, and their only crime is being Venezuelans.”
