During the National Council for Productive Economy in the Los Llanos Region, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stated that of the 18 engines of the Bolivarian economic agenda that we promote, “we prioritize agro-industry”.
“We prioritize the agro-industrial engine, as a transformative process from land, to food, to presentation in the home,” said Maduro.
He also assured that Venezuelans are proud to produce on their land, with national seeds and with their own efforts.
In this regard, he stressed that together with the private sector, “we are energizing the 18 engines of the Bolivarian economic agenda. Beyond the differences, we are joining forces to consolidate the country's productivity and economic growth.”
“We are managing to go from 85% of imported products to producing the food that our country needs. What a great pride to say that the food that reaches my home table is produced in my land in Venezuela,” he said.
The Head of State pointed out that no country has achieved well-being and sovereignty without guaranteeing food sovereignty.
