The President of the Republic of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, made a “firm and decisive” call this Friday for the immediate cessation of the unilateral coercive measures, badly called sanctions, imposed by the United States (USA) and its European allies against Cuba, Venezuela and Zimbabwe.

This was reported on his Telegram channel by Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil, who attended on behalf of the Bolivarian Government the inauguration of what became the first president of the African country.

“This demand stands as a demand for justice for the peoples of the Global South,” the Venezuelan diplomat highlighted in his message.

After the presidential inauguration ceremony, Gil held a meeting with the Namibian president, to whom he extended his “sincerest congratulations” and wished “every success in his term”.

Venezuela and Namibia have cultivated a strong friendship and have collaborated in various social and economic areas, within the framework of South-South integration and cooperation. We are committed to continuing to expand this valuable relationship in the coming years,” he said in another publication.
