This Thursday, during a meeting with the media, the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, urged the United Nations (UN) not to stop the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip.

“We feel that the UN should work harder on that, the organization's diplomats should not sleep these days. Since they should break out of their routines, they must have as their main objective to stop the war in the Gaza Strip,” he said

In this case, the Mexican president pointed out that the UN must also have a greater willingness to resolve the war in Ukraine. “Two purposes, two objectives Gaza and the struggle between Moscow and Kiev, we must talk to all the leaders and hold meetings.”

“We are not in favor of any position that would further aggravate the conflict. We have acted very prudently in that regard. Hopefully, we wish, that the war will stop, because there are already thousands of dead, many innocent, including girls and boys, but we need to convince the warmongers and continue to demand a ceasefire, because it is nothing more than qualifying them, even if we may be thinking about it and there are elements. Now, the most important thing is to achieve peace. That is Mexico's position. We want the war to stop,” said the president.
