President of Cuba arrived in Russia to address priorities of the bilateral agenda

This Tuesday, the president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, arrived in the Russian Federation on a working visit that will last until May 9 to address priorities of the bilateral agenda.

During his visit, Díaz-Canel will attend the military parade on May 9 on the occasion of Victory Day, on the 79th anniversary of the triumph of the Soviet Union over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945).

The president will participate for the first time and in person in the Supreme Council of the Eurasian Economic Union, an important integration block in which Cuba holds the status of observer State.

The president is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bruno Rodríguez; the first Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Oscar Pérez-Oliva Fraga; together with foreign ministry officials and Julio Garmendia Peña, accredited ambassador to Moscow.
