Last Tuesday, the President of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, called on the People to support health and labor reforms, after calling for a popular consultation, after this project was archived in the National Congress.

The president invited the people to decide if they are in favor of health reform and labor reform, claiming that “it is up to the people to decide if they want to be a slave or free and dignified.”

“The reforms that this people called for, that there should be no slavery in the factory or in the workshop, that women are not sexually harassed for wanting to work for an employer,” she said.

The president exemplified “that an old man was given a plate of food and didn't die sad in a market square or in a park, that women were given labor rights, that people who have been excluded, and they are the majority, could have a doctor who came to the silver a time ago he was located in the farthest part of our country”.
