President of Bolivia received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of St. Petersburg

This Friday, the State University of Saint Petersburg (UESP) awarded the president of Bolivia, Luis Arce Catacora, the title of Doctor Honoris Causa for his achievements in the development of economic sciences, among other contributions, during a ceremony held on the campus of that study center.

The institution reported that the Bolivian head of state has also made a substantial contribution to the development of international cooperation between his country and Russia, and to economy-community integration.

After the inauguration, Arce, who visited the aforementioned city to participate in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, gave a conference focused on the Bolivian economic model, which he defines as a productive social community, contrary to the neoliberal one and focused on industrialization, diversification, import substitution and public investment, among other criteria.
