President Nicolás Maduro: The PSUV is the party of ordinary people, of patriotic people!

“The PSUV (United Socialist Party of Venezuela) is the party of ordinary people, of patriotic people, of Bolivarians, of those who carry the ideal of Christ, it is the People of Chávez, it is the Chavista People with a lot of love.”

This was exalted by the president of the red awning and head of state, Nicolás Maduro, during a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión, where the rank and file of this party, born from the hand of Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez, held more than 47,000 meetings across the country to nominate candidates for the upcoming parliamentary and regional elections convened by the National Electoral Council (CNE) for May 25.

During his speech, he highlighted the active participation of youth and women in this process marked by being an example of participatory and leading democracy, the flag of the Bolivarian Revolution.

“It's beautiful that youth are protagonists of the struggles and changes in the country with a lot of energy, with a lot of intelligence, but it's also important that almost 70% of the participants think they are women from what I see, so the leadership of women is vital for our Revolution,” she said.
