The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that he cannot allow them to “twist my arm”, because then they will twist it on all Venezuelans.

He stressed that the fascism experienced in Venezuela in 2001, 2002 and 2003, which “took to the streets to burn people, coup d'etat, intolerance, the hatred they sowed already happened, but now they transferred it to social networks.”

“We would go from being a country proud of its heritage, of Bolívar, of our Waraos Indians to being a colonial country,” he highlighted during episode number 12 of the Maduro Podcast, together with representatives of Venezuelan youth.

In that sense, he argued that Venezuela is in the sights of empires, so “July 28 is almost a world election.”

The head of state told young people about bots, “there are fascist boost factories, and a brutal psychological campaign is being directed against Venezuela.”

He also pointed out that never before has there been a means of communication that could influence so many millions of people with so many issues, when referring to social networks.

“So the issue of social networks, of culture, of identity, of the spiritual strength of Peoples, is a major issue,” he said.

He recalled that “I started talking about the new era and gave it a surname: New Era of Transition to Socialism, because we have to build a different alternative society”.
