President Nicolás Maduro received the Prime Minister of São Tomé and Príncipe

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, received this Wednesday, May 29, the Prime Minister of São Tomé and Príncipe, Patrice Émery Trovoada, with whom he held a working meeting at the Miraflores Palace.

In a broadcast on Venezolana de Televisión, he points out that this visit contemplates the exploration and rapprochement between the two nations, in order to analyze possibilities for cooperation.

In this way, the Bolivarian Government continues to deploy Diplomacy of Peace, with the Peoples of the world.

The Prime Minister's stay in the South American country reinforces bilateral cooperation and friendship between Peoples, in addition to strengthening ties between Africa and the Latin American and Caribbean regions.

It also seeks to discuss and consolidate common objectives to establish agreements of complementarity and brotherhood, in the context of Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy.

Previously, Emery Trovoada paid homage to the Liberator Simon Bolivar, with a wreath-laying ceremony before the coffin that holds his mortal remains in the National Pantheon of Caracas.

Diplomatic relations between Venezuela and São Tomé were formalized in August 2006, thanks to the geostrategic vision of Commander Hugo Chávez, which has made it possible to establish important links in the education, science and technology sectors, among others, while reinforcing the historical and cultural roots existing between the two governments.
