This Monday, November 25, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that peace will continue to prevail in Venezuela both at Christmas and on subsequent days, “as I decree for the entire month of December and beyond.”

He said that “on a Christmas full of our Lord Jesus Christ”.

“We are driven by genuine love for life, for the Fatherland, for God, for humanity,” he highlighted in the Editorial of the 68th edition of his program “With Maduro+”.

The head of state paid tribute to Commander Fidel Castro and Argentinian soccer player Diego Maradona, who changed plans on November 25.

In that regard, he said that “today we invoke the memory of two great friends of Venezuela. One, the leader of humanity, Commander Fidel Castro Ruz, who took his ship to immortality and left a legacy for generations in Cuba, Latin America and the Caribbean. The other, Diego Armando Maradona, the patriot, the rebel, the courageous. Honor and Glory”.

Diego Armando Maradona left this plane early. He loved Venezuela,” he said.

He also expressed his gratitude for the thousands of congratulations he received in Venezuela and from various parts of the world, last Saturday, November 23, on the occasion of his 62nd birthday.

“Thousands of cakes were made here in Venezuela and around the world. I got videos, I'm still watching them,” he said.
