The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, declared the beginning of Christmas in Venezuela starting next Tuesday, October 1st.

In that regard, he noted that “September is coming. And I said September and it already smells like Christmas. It smells like Christmas, it smells like Christmas.”

“That is why this year, in homage, in gratitude to you, I am going to decree the advance of Christmas for October 1st. Christmas kicks off on October 1st, for everyone. Christmas came with peace, happiness and security.”

This was expressed at the Miraflores Palace, in his show Con Maduro+, in his 55th broadcast, where he stated that this measure seeks to celebrate the arrival of Christmas with joy and peace, in gratitude to the Venezuelan people.

He explained that “we have a domestic market, an increase in domestic consumption, a method of productive activity, an increase in entrepreneurship. I think we're going to have a happy end to the year. That's why I announced the Christmas advance for the first of October, because a new year of happiness, peace and rumba is coming.”
