After the publishing media organization WikiLeaks confirmed on Monday that Australian journalist Julian Assange was released after 1,901 days in prison, the President of the Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, sent his congratulations on behalf of the people of his country.

The founder of the WikiLeaks portal was accused of conspiracy after this site published stories related to government corruption and human rights abuses.
