President Nicolás Maduro carries out inspection in areas of Cumanacoa affected by rains

This Tuesday, July 9th, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized that the recovery of Cumanacoa in the state of Sucre, “is going to be a special model of house-to-house recovery.”

This was stated together with the Town of Cumanacoa, in the municipality of Montes, where he presented himself to carry out an inspection in the areas affected by the rains.

“The first phase took about a week; the first thing was to get into the emergency and save what could be saved. The census has already been done,” he said.

He stressed that water and electricity services have already been restored, as well as food and equipment have been guaranteed, “now we are going to clean, recover and rebuild.”

“That's why I set up the Presidential Command Post, here are the ministers of Housing, Infrastructure, the Civil Defense personnel, let's applaud these people,” he said.

The head of state emphasized that the perfect union of Popular Power and Military Power, that they deploy “house by house, street by street, community by community”.

The testimony of the Town of Cumanacoa was also heard, after being affected by the flooding of the Manzanares River.
