President Nicolás Maduro: Between Colombia and Venezuela we are working for peace

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that despite the differences that may exist with the Government of Colombia, both nations are working for peace among the peoples of the border.

“We want peace for Venezuela, we want peace for Colombia, every day we work for peace, but for there to be peace there must be integration between the two Peoples. I have proposed the creation of a Large Binational Economic Zone with the North of Santander, in Colombia, the state of Táchira and Catatumbo, in the state of Zulia, to bring social and integral development throughout this area,” said the National President.

With regard to cooperation on the part of the Colombian military and police forces, Minister Vladimir Padrino López confirmed that he had received all the collaboration for the fight against cross-border crime
