President Nicolás Maduro expressed his deep concern about the current state of the World Trade Organization (WTO), an organ that is currently subject to “the law of chaos, for a moment, in the commercial life of the planet”.

“Today I can say that the World Trade Organization is mortally wounded, said President Maduro, adding that this institution has “received a missile attack because its authority and laws are unknown.”

In this regard, he pointed out that the current “economic trade war is clearly inexplicable, how actions are being carried out that seek to “destroy the international law of peace, which governs commercial and economic relations in the world”.

He called for setting aside international law, of coexistence, while recalling that “all wars for more than ten centuries were the product of great contradictions for economic domination, land and natural resources”.
