President Maduro: We are the backbone of stability, peace and the future of the Republic!

This Sunday, March 16, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the historic day that took place last Saturday across the country with the Grassroots Assemblies to nominate candidates for the elections on May 25.

“We are on the right track and on the right side of history, and there is Revolution for a while. The people of Venezuela, on March 15, launched a message: We are the backbone of stability, peace and the future of the Republic!” , said the Head of State.

He also highlighted that in the application process, People's Power freely participated from their communities. “It was a beautiful day, with total success. My greetings to the People of Venezuela! It is the power of the conscience of a sovereign and rebellious people,” he emphasized.

In the Grassroots Assemblies convened by the United Socialist Party of Venezuela, more than 5 million revolutionaries participated to nominate their candidates for the positions of deputies to the National Assembly, Governors and legislators of the Legislative Councils.
