“We are going to win Zulia, we are going to Barinas, we are going to Cojedes and we are going to Nueva Esparta to complete the cycle, let's tell the People that a new time has come and the People must win all 24 governorates to make this territory a liberated territory.”

This was the call made by the president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro Moros, during the installation ceremony of the V Congress of the PSUV and IV of the JPSUV, where the method for choosing the candidates of the revolutionary forces for the upcoming elections of April 27 will be discussed and defined.

The leader of the psuvist tent argued that revolutionary forces should win in all 24 governorates, including the state of Guiana Essequiba.

He pointed out that to guarantee this victory, it is necessary to establish what the priorities of each state are and to choose a candidate on the premise of guaranteeing the qualitative and quantitative aspects.

He called for avoiding “candiduritis” and practicing humility, as well as collective work, a premise that he always remembered accompanied Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez.
