President Maduro: We are going to consolidate the massification of sports throughout the national territory

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that in the medium term it is essential to consolidate the massification of sports, from the territory, to the communities, in the study centers, primary, secondary and university, with the highest possible quality.
“We have to reorient the process of mass sports, of preparation, of attracting talent, with a plan that goes far beyond four years,” he said.
In this regard, he argued that in the medium term, the massification of Venezuelan sports must be consolidated, “with a vision of achievement.”
He proposed this at the Miraflores Palace, where he presided over the welcome and award ceremony for the athletes who participated in the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, to whom he said that “you must become the leaders of the new generations, support the mass of student sports and the preparation of all disciplines, because Venezuela is in the right position to do so.”
To achieve this objective, he urged the resumption and strengthening of national, student and university games, at all levels, while commenting that the world's sports powers rely on universities as a base for highly competitive athletes.
