The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, visited the monument to La Divina Pastora this Saturday, during his visit to the state of Lara, where he was with the revolutionary people who expressed their support for the elections on July 28.

In a broadcast on the Venezuelan State Television channel (VTV), the Dignitary said that he went to the Virgin “to ask for peace in Venezuela, that everything goes well is the most important thing (...) Peace to be able to build the Venezuela of the future, happiness”.

He recalled that the monument was inaugurated on January 16, 2016. “Here I came with Cilia, a wonderful work done by architects, engineers and workers from Venezuela. If you come to Barquisimeto you are greeted by Our Lady and when you leave, Our Lady says goodbye with her blessings,” he said.

The Head of State stated that he received “the blessings of Father Angel, the blessings of our Divine Shepherdess, with Cilita always, I continue on my pilgrimage, I ask for your blessings and your prayers”.
