President Maduro: Venezuela will sign 20 new contracts to produce oil and gas in April

President Maduro reiterated that the nation is in the advanced phase of comprehensive recovery

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that in the face of the re-imposition of sanctions by the United States Government on Venezuela, the country will sign 20 new international contracts to produce oil and gas in April.

“I announce that within the framework of the Anti-Blockade Law, this month of April, twenty strategic alliance contracts are being signed with twenty new investors, all international, who are starting to produce oil and gas in Venezuela, we don't need a colonialist license from the gringos; so we are going to grow with our own lungs,” said the Head of State.

During a meeting from the Simón Bolívar room, located in La Campiña, based in Caracas, the Venezuelan ruler stressed that the oil industry today is growing regardless of the sanctions imposed by the United States.

The oil industry is growing with its own efforts, with its viscera, in a sustained, self-sustainable way. We are building up planning capacity, operational capacity, technological capacity, financial capacity. There will be no blockade, sanctions, or licenses to stop the growth of Venezuelan oil, Venezuelan gas, Venezuelan petrochemicals,” said the Head of the National Executive.

He also reiterated that the nation is in the advanced phase of comprehensive recovery, peacebuilding, political stability, economic growth and we are going to recover the social and labor welfare of the workers and the people of Venezuela.

In this regard, he presented as positive symptoms of the country's recovery “economic growth, productivity development, exchange rate stability, the definitive slowdown in induced inflation”.
