President Maduro: Venezuela is on the path of building a powerful comprehensive energy industry

This Thursday, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the great advances that the Islamic Republic of Iran has made in its energy and petrochemical industry, and I point out that Venezuela is on the path of emulating building this development with its own efforts, just as the Persian nation did in the midst of the siege of imperialism.

“Venezuela is on the path of building a powerful comprehensive energy industry with its own efforts,” he said and specified that together with Iran, “we have an absolutely integrated and inclusive experience in the development of the oil industry in all its capacity.”

“A powerful economic and energy alliance is being worked on, we have been traditional partners for more than 60 years as founders of OPEC (Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries),” he recalled during the closing ceremony of the X High-Level Iran-Venezuela Joint Commission held at the Miraflores Palace and where both Governments signed important agreements for mutual development.

He added that, in addition to this alliance for industrial energy and petrochemical development, both nations are consolidating a “powerful alliance for peace, for defending international law, the right of Peoples, but above all, the historic right of the People of Palestine to have their land.”
