The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, led the farewell to the Training Ship AB Simón Bolívar, to the XXXV foreign training cruise ship Caribbean Alliance 2025. At the event, he was accompanied by the first combatant, Cilia Flores, and the Minister of Popular Power for Defense, Wladimir Padrino López.

The good weather, the good sea, take you on a successful mission. Happy and always inspired to come to the historic ship. To carry the truth of Venezuela through the Caribbean seas,” said the president.

He also praised the work of the cadets of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) who, with their teachers and officers, “this ship is transformed into a naval force of the Naval University of the Navy that will travel the Caribbean seas, will show the morality, honor and dignity of military youth.”

“These acts have great symbolism,” he said and urged officers to “not waste a second of this journey, because you will find in you the values and morals that Venezuela must follow; you are the bearers of the dignity of Venezuela's youth.”
